Skrillex just announced a trans-Canadian Train Tour set for this summer. Train-hoppers will include Pretty Lights, Diplo, Grimes, + more EDM acts.

The concept of train touring is not new- Skrillex was inspired by Mumford & Sons recent rail tour & tossed a nod at The Festival Express, [Joplin, the Dead, The Band] which went down in the 70s.

The artists will be riding the rails to their destinations on private passenger trains, stopping in each city to perform at various festivals. The Full Flex Express train will be hitting select cities in Canada such as Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Winnipeg, & Edmonton.

Detroit Revealed: Photographs 2000-2010 is an exhibition produced by the DIA that showcases photographs depicting our city. The photographers include both those who reside within the city limits, as well as visitors. This gives a breadth of perspective to the exhibition. It is not a stereotypical collection so exhale now. Instead, it is a ruthlessly curated handful of images spanning the past decade that offers the viewer a glimpse into some key aspects of Detroit.

It is by no means exhaustive.  It was aloof;  there was a perceived barrier between subject and photographer. The soul of the city was somehow lost, perhaps personifying the personality of Detroit itself. The good part: that is my perception- clouded by experience. Check out the  exhibition  yourself to create your own opinion.

Then add some scenes from the New Mexican landscape for the wild, unknown country effect.
