The Greatest Show on Earth is tonight! The Perseids Meteor Shower is a spectacular cosmic event, which occurs yearly every August. Check it out during peak hours [usually between 11-3am- depending upon where you live] and you will see up to sixty meteors an hour! Viewing can be from virtually anywhere- although my preference is the Rocky Mountains [Elevation 11,990 above sea level] for optimal viewing.

Went to the Drive-In, The best! place to watch films. [the exception being Brooklyn rooftops]
Stumbled into Sharon & encountered the frozen-in-time town of my dreams- and sacks full of candy, of course! Visited the World's Largest Candy Store. It has nothing on Willy Wonka's Factory, although it does feature a giant woodland scene comprised of chocolate. And have to report there are no Ooompaloompas roaming around, but you'll get over it as soon as you pop a piece of milk chocolate into your mouth.
Went boating during this vacation. It was reminiscent of the Christopher Cross song- not Rod Stewart. Maybe next time, Rod.
