Three levels of learning and fun await for exploration. Highlights include America's Motor City- an assembly line with a simulated "Auto Drop," The Doorway to Freedom- which showcases the important role Detroit had in the Underground Railroad, and The Streets of Old Detroit- which is a recreation of the city streets from the 1800 and 1900s.
Other awesome exhibits include the Gallery of Innovation- where visitors can create their own soda pop company, and learn about successful innovators from the Detroit region, the Glancy Trains- miniature trains which speed along the tracks of the model railroad, and the newly installed Kid Rock Music Lab, which showcases Detroit musicians including Bob Seger, Aretha Franklin, Nashville's [cough, cough] Jack White, and surprise! Kid Rock.
There are tons of interesting things not mentioned in this post- enough for a short story, so go check out the museum for yourself, you will definitely not be disappointed.
